How the Account Updater Works

  1. Participating issuers submit account changes to the Association databases
  2. Registered merchants submit account number queries through IPPay
  3. IPPay submits these account queries to the appropriate Association database
  4. Association matches account queries to issuer submissions, then returns matches to IPPay
  5. IPPay returns matched account query records to the specific merchants
  6. Merchant take return and update their billing files with the changed account information
